Detached Display Paddle Wheel Water Flow Meter

$395.00

Detached Display Paddle Wheel Water Flow Meter with options, plug, pipe saddles, paddle & pin kit and certification reports. The Detached Display meters are used when the sensor location isn’t easily in view. This situation commonly occurs in locations where the pipe is high overhead in a factory setting or the sensor is mounted on a pipe below grade. The display is separate and can then be mounted in an easily viewable location.  Because the sensor and the meter are physically connected by a wire there is not “loss of signal” or complicated set up procedures to deal with. You simply program the meter for the size and schedule of pipe. After that the meter shows the flow rate, totalized flow and a re-settable totalized flow, without connection issues for years.

The detached display paddle wheel series of meters are utilized when the sensor location isn’t easily accessible or viewable. A cable, 15′ in length, separates the display from the sensor allowing the display unit to be mounted at eye level. Longer or shorter lengths of wire are available, call or email for details. The sensor assembly is waterproof, the display unit is sealed, however it can not be mounted underwater or in direct sunlight.

The paddle wheel flow meter with detached display, when used in conjunction with the appropriate saddle, can monitor flows in pipes ranging in size from ½” to 8”. Paddle wheel flow meters are universally accepted as a means of measuring flow. Wide range in flow rates, negligible head-loss and good accuracy at a reasonable price, continue to make these meters popular. Easy removal for cleaning permit the meters to be mounted in lines with moderate particulate levels.

The optional plug allows the meter to be removed for maintenance or cleaning.  Additionally the meters can be certified with either a single point or 3 point certification, these are most used to meet a government agency requirement. The paddle wheel & pin will last for many years in clean water, however, if you want you can include a replacement.  If this is a new installation you will also need the appropriate saddle for you specific situation.  Saddles come either premounted (bonded) to a section of pipe, or as a clamp on saddle (saddle glued to your existing pipe and hole drilled in the pipe by the installer). You can read about saddles here. You can read about flow rates and mounting guidelines here. If you need extra saddles or plugs they can be order in the parts and accessories section.
