Calibration Certificate

Calibration Certificate

If your planning on using these meters to monitor water and report the results to a state or federal agency they might require the meter be certified. Most times a calibration certificate from the manufacturer will suffice and be more cost effective than hiring a service to do an on-site calibration. Our certificates are produced using a calibration stand that is traceable to NIST,(National Institute of Standards and Technology) an agency of the United States Department of Commerce.

The meter is placed in a calibration stand and either certified with a single point or a 3 point certification. You will need to check with your agency as to whether the 3-point certification is required. The single point certification is run at a flow rate in the mid range of the meters flow range. The 3 point certification is run using 3 flow rates, one on the lower end of the flow range, one in the mid-range and the third in the upper flow range.

A signed and dated certificate is produced and sent along with the meter.

This process is only run when requested. If you don't requested the certificate when you order the meter, the meter will need to be returned and certified then. You will need to call in to organize the return. We can't simply mail you a certification after the fact.
